10th generation master of a Chinese boxing style known as Three Emperor Cannon Fist

  

Wáng Qí Shīfu (王琪-师父) Ruì Lóng (瑞龙) 

 

Master Carlos García García, is born in Barcelona on the 21st of December 1968. As a teenager he enters the world of Chinese martial arts, dedicating his life to practice and teach them with a strong commitment to tradition and authenticity. He travels to the People´s Republic of China’s capital city of Beijing in 2006, where he gets to know great master Wáng Qí (王琪), a 9th generation master of a Chinese boxing style known as (Three Emperor Cannon Fist) Sān Huáng Pào Chuí Quán “三皇砲捶拳”. From this moment, he begins to study this boxing style under masters Wáng Qí (王琪) and master Zhāngzōngyì (张宗义). 

 He travels to Běijīng every August, year after year, showing great effort and commitment to his family traditional wǔshù before his masters, grandfathers and elderly. This fact endorses great master Wáng Qí (王琪) decision to accept him as his first western disciple, which leads to great master Wáng holding a Shōu Tú (收徒) Proclamation Ceremony on the 23rd of August 2009. Master Carlos García is then granted access to great master Wáng Qí Baì Shī (拜師) Disciple Ceremony which makes him part of the 10th generation of masters and so bond for life to it’s ancient lineage. He is then known within the family circle as  Ruì Lóng (瑞龙) “Fortunate dragon”.

 

As a member of this lineage, master Carlos García was invited to join the Chinese great national masters meeting of the Three Emperor Cannon Fist style Sān Huáng Pào Chuí Quán “三皇砲捶拳” held on the 6th of August 2012 in Jìzhōu (冀州), provincia de Héběi (河北) province.

 

Furthermore, the organisation team of the first edition of the Chinese national traditional wushu championship (Zhì Hóng Cup), held on the 11th of August 2018 in Héngshuǐ (衡水), Héběi (河北) province, exceptionally invited laoshi the family circle as  Ruì Lóng to participate in this event which had more than 1.000 competitors organised in 23 teams coming from every corner of the country. Along with his master/father Wáng Qí Shīfu (王琪-师父) he represented the city of Běijīng in the Chinese traditional martial arts masters’ exhibition category, more specifically, the Three Emperor Cannon Fist style.

 

His knowledge is not only about traditional wushu, but also of everything related to philosophy and meditation, as well as the core of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a speciality that he studies for more than four years. He carries out his studies at the Societat d’Acupuntors de Catalunya,  (Catalan Society of Acupuncture) learning under the expert and Catalonia’s pioneer Dr. Miquel Aguirre. This work grants Carlos García all the necessary qualification to develop his career as a Chinese martial arts master, being even able to transmit every discipline related therapeutic principle.

 

Master Carlos García is the author of many articles about traditional wushu, as well as five other acknowledged specialised works: “Miáo Dāo 苗刀 Sprout Rice Sabre”, “Bāguà Zhǎng 八卦掌 The Power of the Magic Circle”, “Sān Huáng Pào Chuí Quán 三皇砲捶拳 Three Emperor Cannon Fist”, “Dàběi Quán 大北拳 Fist of the Great Compassion”, and “Dà Qiāng Sān Huáng Pào Chuí Quán 三皇砲捶拳大枪” Three Emperor Cannon Fist Great Lance all of them released by publisher Editorial Alas.

 

He has been the subject of several interviews appearing in print media, radio and television in order to make the fascinating world of wǔshù known.

 

Moreover, he extends his martial award list by becoming World Champion at the International Martial Arts Federation (IMAF) competition held on the 27th of June 2015 in Rimini (Italy) where he is the winner of the following Three Emperor Cannon Fist categories: traditional northern styles (presenting the Second Form or “Dì Èr Lù”; traditional styles long weapon (presenting the Měi Huá Qīang spear or Sān Huáng Pào Chuí Quán. 

 

With the objective of promoting this traditional wǔshù style in the West, he founds and presides the first Three Emperor Cannon Fist European Association in 2020, which Honorific President is great master Wáng Qí (王琪) who gives his invaluable support to the above mentioned entity from China as president of the Three Emperor Cannon Fist Association in Beijing.
